With the news of One Direction breaking up…sorry, "taking a break", we thought it would only be right to take a look back at the careers of Harry, Liam, Niall and Louis (oh and Zayn)...
Just a few weeks into their X Factor journey, the lads already look like a certified boy band. It’s slightly awkward abit nerdy, but that’s why the nation fell in love with them
From boys to men…the lads ditched their chinos and superman t-shirts for tailored suits and skinny ties. Don’t they look smart
Stood alongside their mentor, Simon Cowell, the boys posed for a picture just before their devastating elimination from The X Factor final!
The lads looking pretty happy with themselves after releasing their first single “What Makes You Beautiful” – a timeless pop classic, which we absolutely LOVE!
The boys hit the road for their very first headline tour “Up All Night” which included a show here at our arena (we were the NIA back then) – who was here back in 2012? Tell us on Twitter!
The boys are growing up fast – the big hair has gone (apart from Harry’s) and the lads look super smart on the red carpet at the Brit Awards!
They’ve made it, the 1D boys are taking over the USA! This was taken from their first America television debut on the Today Show which injected the states with Direction Infection.
One Direction became the first UK act to debut an album at #1 on the Billboard. And in the aftermath, hit the road in Northern American with a sold out headline tour!
Here’s the moment the lads won their first ever award at the VMA’s and what a special moment it was.
The chaps hit the road again, this time, it was WORLDWIDE with 123 shows globally as part of their “Take Me Home Tour”.
One Direction: This Is Us. 92 minutes of pure Directioner heaven.
The lads not only smashed the music charts and movie charts, they also took the book charts by storm with the release of ‘Dare to Dare: Life as One Direction’ – we haven’t read it, but we imagine it’s amazing.
ALL OF 2013 – WINNING EVERYTHING
After winning their first VMA award, the lads just kept winning, winning and winning everything they could!
Tour time again, but this time STADIUMS! The lads embarked on a slightly smaller tour in terms of show nights this time round, with just the 69 shows…yes, still a crazy amount! 1D lit up some of the biggest stadiums in the world including Wembley, Stade de France and the Estádio do Morumbi.
The second saddest day in the One Direction calendar. Sandwiched between missing out on X Factor glory and the current news of the 1D hiatus…Zayn Malik leaves the group.
Between 10-12 October, we’ll be hosted the boys for what could be their last ever TOUR (crying emoji x10) – I hope you guys can join us.
