Sir Paul is certainly no stranger when it comes to collaborating with some of music’s finest, with many a musicians jumping at the chance to work with the legendary Beatle….from Kanye to Jay Z, Michael Jackson to Nirvana the list is endless!
Quick note, before we get into our Top 5, you can still get your Paul McCartney tickets for his Barclaycard Arena show right here.
Take a look at our favourite, most unexpected and straight up genius Sir Paul collaborations.
Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson
Two legendary artists on one legendary track. This is one of my personal favourites, any track which combines this much musical talent is always sure to be a hit! The duo worked together on “The Girl Is Mine” which featured on MJ’s HUGE ‘Thriller’ album
Paul McCartney & Kanye West
This duet shocked both Paul McCartney and Kanye West fans alike! Sir Paul fans were surprised to see the Beatles legend team up with the US rapper as it was a total collision of genres. Kanye fans were surprised to see the ‘All of the Lights’ star team up with Macca because they had no idea who he was. Yeezy fans, read this blog and educate yourself…Sir Paul is not an upcoming unknown artist.
Paul McCartney & George Michael
Yes, it’s quite a strange collaboration, but probably not the strangest on the list. Although their music styles are polar opposites, boy guys are quite obviously talented and worked together to produce this lovely little duet.
Paul McCartney, Jay-Z & Linkin’ Park!
Now, some people will see this duet as genius, others as crazy, but we absolute love it! Back in 2006, Sir Paul joined Hova and Linkin’ Park on the stage at the Grammys to perform a mashed up version of Numb / Encore / Yesterday – have a listen, you'll LOVE it!
Paul McCartney & Nirvana
Back in 2012 we witnessed two of the biggest rock icons team up at The Concert of Sandy Relief to make a moment in music we’ll never forget. Sir Paul hit the stage with surviving Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear to perform “Cut Me Some Slack” which please rock fans across the world!
