WWE Live Wrestlemania Revenge: The Verdict

What a great night, two dads and their sons at WWE Wrestlemania Revenge 2016 at the Barclaycard Arena. Both kids manic with excitement given they are both massive WWE fans and desperate to see their idols in the flesh.

It was their first time seeing WWE ‘live' rather through a screen on their Xbox game and the evening didn't disappoint!

There was a palpable sense of anticipation outside the arena, and when we went to pick up our tickets from the box office a number of disappointed fans were turned away as it was sold out. We even heard touts offering over £100 for tickets. We took our seats just before 7.30pm and the event kicked off bang on time, with us all on our feet singing ‘God Save the Queen’ and soon after came the grand entrance of the first two WWE stars.

Again from their Xbox game, the boys knew all the stars entrance songs, and as soon as they heard Cesaro, they were up punching the air with delight, and singing with the rest of the arena. All the dads were taking pictures of their kids, if like me rejoicing in their kids delight.

It created a cracking atmosphere from the start and my personal highlight was The New Day vs The Wyatt Family tag team match. One member of The New Day Group with a trombone orchestrating a crowd sign along to ‘New Day Rocks.’ Even I was on my feet singing along!

    Verdict

We headed home with the dads a few quid lighter after buying posters and Roman Reigns T-Shirts (for the kids obviously!) and with two very happy boys who were both asleep, shattered from a great evening's entertainment in the back of the car by the time we hit the M6!
