All the drama took place at the BBL Cup Final day 2016 as Esh Group Eagles Newcastle came from behind to beat Leicester Riders and retain the Cup. This was after Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters claimed their second straight WBBL Trophy title, at a packed Barclaycard Arena.
Now another huge crowd gets ready to attend one of the biggest dates in the British Basketball calendar as tickets for the 2017 edition are already on sale at the box-office.
This must-see event will continue to be held at the superb Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham, which remains very much the home of the BBL Cup.
Taking place on Sunday 15 January 2017, it promises to be another exhilarating day, with the usual mix of entertainment and the best of BBL talent on show. -

Event Review
Would The Eagles successfully defend their BBL trophy or would this be the year of The Riders? This was the question on everyone’s lips going into Sunday’s final. Recent form suggested that the Newcastle Eagles would walk away with another BBL title to their name, but if anyone was to knock them off their perch it would be the Leicester Riders.
